General Questions
How do I know which generation my X5L is?
There are two main differences between the X5L Gen 2 and Gen 3. One is the lumen output. The Gen 2 has 178 lumens whereas the Gen 3 has 500 lumens. The other main difference is the battery. The Gen 2 uses (1) CR123A battery and the Gen 3 uses a removeable, rechargeable lithium battery.
Why was my credit card charged before my order shipped?
Our secure order processing system does not store your credit card information and is not capable of deferring credit card charges. Credit cards are charged immediately upon purchase.
Why was my credit card declined?
Upon clicking on the "Place Your Order" button at the last step of checkout, your order and credit card information will be processed. If your credit card is declined, a message will appear on the page with the reason why it was declined. If it is declined because of an AVS mismatch, please verify that the billing address information you are entering on the website is an exact match to the billing address information on file with your credit card issuing bank. If your card is declined because of the card code mismatch, please ensure that you are correctly entering the 3- or 4-digit code that appears on the front or back of your card (varies by card type). If your transaction is otherwise declined, please ensure that you have sufficient funds available in your account to complete the transaction or contact your bank to inquire about any holds that may have been placed on your card.
My Viridian is not functioning correctly. What should I do?
First, like most electronic devices, many problems can be fixed by simply removing the battery and re-inserting it, effectively restarting the unit. If this doesn’t work, try replacing the battery with a new one (Viridian batteries can be purchased here: link). If that doesn’t work, please contact us via phone or email.

P: When the laser and light are on at the same time, the laser will blink and then turn off
S: Cycle through the modes until you’re just on the light, then press and hold both buttons down. This will then cycle through the different light brightness - you want the light on one of the two lower settings in order for both the light and laser to work. This was designed to save battery, otherwise you’ll drain the battery quickly if you’ve got the full light mode plus the laser. This should fix the issue.
